AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 14-139 MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CURRENT EXPENSES AND OTHER EXPENDITURES OF THE CITY OF HUDSON DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2015 BY MAKING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS.
Executive Summary: This Ordinance will amend the original budget for 2015 to include estimated costs associated with the housing of prisoners in the City of Macedonia's jail. The budgeted cost for the remainder of 2015 is $25,000. We will add the appropriation to the Police Department budget.

Purpose & Explanation
This ordinance amends the budget for expenditures for the housing of prisoners. There is a separate resolution authoring the contract with the City of Macedonia to house misdemeanants for crimes committed in Hudson. The City anticipates recovering a substantial portion of these costs through fines imposed on the prisoners.
Timing Considerations
We would like this Ordinance to be passed immediately to allow the program to be implemented as soon as possible.
