Brief Description: This project was identified in a previous storm water management study that identified potential areas of stormwater storage within Ellsworth Meadows Golf Course to reduce flooding to downstream properties. The project would include reshaping an existing low-lying area of the golf course to provide additional storm water storage.

Purpose & Explanation
This project was identified in a previous storm water management study that identified potential areas of stormwater storage within Ellsworth Meadows Golf Course to reduce flooding to downstream properties. The project would include regrading of an existing low-lying area of the golf course to provide additional storm water storage. All material used will come from the site and be reshaped into a dry pond with a new control structure.
The project is scheduled for construction in Early 2027.
The estimated project cost of construction is $325,000 which includes 10% contingency.
Following the approval of this Resolution by City Council, the Engineering Department will advertise on the City’s website for 3 weeks and receive bids for this project. Staff will only return to Council if the bids received are in excess of 10% of the Engineer’s Estimate; otherwise, the City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder.
