Executive Summary: By proclaiming the month of August 2013 as Summit Kids Month, the City of Hudson joins Summit County and other area communities in recognizing important issues facing our youth.

Purpose & Explanation
The First Things First initiative, as described in the attached correspondence from Russell Pry, Summit County Executive, is an early childhood development project that has identified many important issues facing the children of Summit County. Through the collaborative efforts of coalition member organizations, innovative programs and early childhood initiatives are available for Summit County children and will be highlighted during the month of August.
