Brief Description:  The City Manager has accepted a Keep America Beautiful Grant in the amount of $5,000 to fund plantings to complete a recommended area of beds within downtown Hudson.  The grant does not require a match.

Purpose & Explanation

Keep America Beautiful awarded cities with the Greatest American Cleanup Grant to enhance and beautify locations in preparation for America’s 250th Anniversary. The award allows the City of Hudson to fund three garden beds in downtown that were not originally covered by sponsorships in the Adopt-a-Spot program. Plantings accompanying this project will be installed by HM Landscaping the first week of June.

Staff recommends that Council pass this Resolution, affirming acceptance by the City Manager of the Greatest American Cleanup Grant in the amount of $5,000.
