Purpose & Explanation
The project will involve asphalt planning; full depth repairs, intermediate asphalt course; surface course; loop detectors and pavement striping along Ravenna Street from Stow Road to Stone Road.  The project will be bid at the beginning of 2014 and construction will begin after the scheduled award on April 7, 2014.
Total Estimated Construction Cost = $396,776.80
ODOT Funding (80%-$317,421.44), Local Funding (20%-$79,355.36).
Timing Considerations
Following the approval of this resolution by the City Council, the Engineering Department will advertise in the local newspaper and receive/review bids for the project.  Following the bid review we will return to City Council to Award the contract to the lowest and best bidder.

Suggested Action
Staff recommends that City Council approve this authorization for the City Manager to advertise and receive bids for the Ravenna Street Resurfacing Project.  We are requesting an emergency clause be added to this project in order to work within the ODOT schedule for this project.
