Purpose & Explanation

Guardrails are designed to prevent vehicles from leaving the roadside and becoming involved in more hazardous collisions.  Over time, existing guardrails thought the City become damaged, have rotted posts, or become out of specification due to age.  This work will replace damaged, failing, or out-of-date guardrails.

Suggested Action

Staff recommends that City Council approve this authorization for the City Manager to advertise, receive bids, and award to the lowest and best bidder for 2021 Guardrail Replacement Program Project.
