Executive Summary:   Lemonade Day is a national initiative to educate youth on how to start, own and operate their own business, using a lemonade stand to teach fundamental lessons about life, success, and giving back to community.  This Proclamation promotes community involvement to support the local 'Lemonade Day' program.

With the support of City Council, similar recognition has been provided annually since 2012.
Purpose & Explanation
Lemonade Day is a national initiative to educate youth on how to start, own and operate their own business, using a lemonade stand to teach fundamental lessons about life, success, and giving back to community.  
Community involvement is encouraged to support this program in Hudson, including youths of all ages who want to become entrepreneurs, adults interested in supervising, businesses and investors who wish to partner with participants, and customers who wish to enjoy the fruits of these efforts.
The City of Hudson, Hudson City Schools, Hudson Montessori School, Seton Catholic School, and The Burton D. Morgan Foundation are actively supporting student participation in Lemonade Day.
Timing Considerations
Lemonade Day stands will be set up in Hudson during the month of May, 2014.
