Purpose & Explanation
The purpose of the City applying for this grant is to help fund the demolition cost of the house and two outbuildings on the Ravenna St. property we recently purchased for storm water purposes. The estimated cost of the demolition, removal and contingency is $93,390. Our application is for $84,051 (90%) and with a match of $9,339 (10%). The purchase of the property covers the 10% match.
The Summit County Land Bank is the lead applicant for the funds in Summit County. We were notified of the grant by the Land Bank on December 15, 2021. The due date for the application was December 21, 2021 so staff did not have time to obtain formal Council approval prior to applying. As part of the application, we are required to enter into a sub-recipient agreement.
