Executive Summary:   The Firehouse Subs Foundation provides grant funding for community safety and fire prevention education programs.

Body

Legislative History

None.

Purpose & Explanation

Firehouse Subs grant funding could provide the Hudson Fire Department with an electronic fire extinguisher training tool that would allow them to train businesses, residents and students on proper use of a fire extinguisher.  The cost of the training tool is $15,328.15.  Currently the Fire Department must do all extinguisher training outdoors using live fire and charged extinguishers.  The training tool would allow them to conduct training indoors, in a safer and more efficient manner and be able to offer training to a wider audience.
