Purpose & Explanation
The EAC has been approached by residents who are interested in learning about composting and expanding composting options in Hudson. Residents have expressed interest at Community Days (farmer’s market events), EAC meetings, and via phone calls and emails to the EAC staff liaison. Council discussed the topic at the 8/2/22 workshop meeting and agreed the EAC could draft survey questions for Council’s review. The EAC Chair and staff liaison then attended the Council Workshop on 9/13/22 to present the draft survey and received authorization to proceed with the community survey.
Representatives of the Environmental Awareness Committee will be in attendance on December 13, 2022 to present the survey results and to request Council consider working with Rubber City Reuse to place a composting bin on City property and for the EAC to host composting workshops.
