Purpose & Explanation
These sidewalk projects are currently in design by engineering Consultants and will include the installation of a 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk along Middleton Road (SR 91 to Highpoint Park), and Stow Road (Pine Trails to Existing Sidewalk). The sidewalk construction includes clearing and necessary tree removal, grading, storm drainage improvements, new sidewalk crosswalks, as need street lighting, fiber and electric conduits (for future use), driveway apron replacement, and restoration. A breakdown of estimated construction costs is as follows, per the approved 2022 Capital Budget:

- Middleton Road (SR 91-Highpoint Park) $2,830,200.00
- Stow Road (Pine Trails to Existing Sidewalk) $500,000.00
Total (With 10% Contingency) $3,330,200.00

The estimated total cost of construction of the two (2) projects is $3,330,200, which includes a 10% contingency. The City will return to City Council if the cost exceeds the above total cost of the projects.

The projects are scheduled for construction is the Spring/Summer of 2022.
