Body

Legislative History

Resolution No. 20-69, approving the creation of the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA); passed July 7, 2020.

Purpose & Explanation

Staff is seeking to extend the hours of the DORA by one hour at the request of the restaurants within the DORA.  This Resolution will authorize the DORA to close one hour later, at 10:00 p.m. instead of 9:00 p.m.  This would allow patrons that purchase drinks at 8:30 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. more time to consume them in the DORA.  Extending the hours requires Council approval, notification of the City’s police department and the Ohio Department of Commerce.
