Purpose & Explanation
Per Resolution 23-080, Council authorized the Assistant Manager for Public Works to make a determination of whether the value of the property, a transformer, is valued at less than $3,000 and is no longer of use to the department of Public Works, or any other municipal department, and after finding such, to solicit proposals under Cod. Ord. ?208.03, the Assistant Director of Public Works obtained proposals to sell and dispose of the transformer. Two proposals were received with both exceeding the $3,000 threshold listed in Cod. Ord. 208.03.
The City Administration is requesting City Council approval to authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with Power Asset Recovery Corporation for the sale and disposal of a substation transformer.
Total Purchase Contract Amount = $55,000
