Purpose & Explanation
The State of Ohio dedicated $75 million in ARPA funding to support first responders that have experienced adverse impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. Through this funding, Hudson EMS was awarded retention bonuses prorated based annual salary and capped at $4,000 per individual employee. The State of Ohio Department of Public Safety received an overwhelming response of applicants and amended the original department’s submission by a 20% reduction. 23 members of Hudson EMS will receive the retention bonus.
