None.
Purpose & Explanation
Hudson received an urban tree canopy (UTC) assessment grant from the ODNR in 2010 to provide a city-wide tree assessment.  This included GIS layers showing vegetation coverage in Hudson.  This UTC assessment can be used to justify tree planting needs per watershed, per neighborhood and per parcel.  Using this UTC, Hudson applied for and was awarded a tree planting grant for $15,687.69 for spring 2014.  New ginkgo trees will be planted in the First and Main shopping area, and other trees in other downtown locations.
Timing Considerations
Tree planting will commence in April, and staff recommends Council accept this grant by resolution as soon as possible.

Suggested Action
