It is customary to publicly thank citizens who have volunteered their time and talents as a member of a Council-appointed meeting body. Mr. Cowie was appointed by City Council to fulfill an unexpired term on the Economic Growth Board on October 3, 2012.

Mr. Cowie served through the completion of his term, ending on September 6, 2014.
