Purpose & Explanation
Bids were received on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 for the 2016 Concrete Replacement Program. Below is the Engineer's Estimate along with the respective bids.
Engineer's Estimate: $446,474.30
CATTS Construction, Inc. $298,476.10
Perrin Asphalt Company $316,878.85
Daniel A. Terreri & Sons, Inc. $455,192.00
Spano Brothers Construction, Inc. $505,444.70
M. Campbell Contracting, LLC $513,084.25
Liberta Construction/Cioffi $669,282.00
City Staff would also like to award the below alternate items:
1.) Village Greens Sidewalk: $47,445.00
2.) Additional Existing Sidewalk Replacement: $21,442.80
The base bid also included, as part of the connectivity plan, the cost for the installation of a new sidewalk along Stoney Hill Drive from SR 91 to the entrance of Colony Park and on Sunset Drive from Stoney Hill Drive to Clairhaven. The total amount for this work is $171,804.60, this amount is included in the base bid of $298,476.10.
The Village Greens sidewalk replacement will include the removal of the existing sidewalk areas, as shown on Exhibit 1, and the installation of a new 6 foot wide x 4 inch thick dyed concrete sidewalk to match the historic sandstone. Total cost = $47,445.00
