Title: 170 Elm Street (Historic District) Alteration (Door replacement) Submitted by Glynn Norgan a) The Secretary of Interior Standards state that deteriorated historic features shall be repaired rather than replaced. Where the severity of deterioration requires replacement of a distinctive feature, the new feature shall match the old in design, color, texture, and other visual qualities and, where possible, materials. Replacement of missing features shall be substantiated by documentary, physical, or pictorial evidence. Verify the existing door material. b) Staff notes a sliding fiberglass door is proposed. Additionally, staff notes that the proposed sliding door includes simulated divided lites with internal grids.
