Purpose & Explanation
Dr. Williams has asked that City Council consider revisions to Council Rules concerning minutes for workshop meetings to allow City Council and staff some discretion and flexibility to determine that a workshop meeting not be audio recorded and/or video recorded.
The City Solicitor has drafted the attached proposed Ordinance to amend Codified Ordinances Section 220.031(a) as such with the condition that the Clerk of Council shall be responsible for preparing full and accurate written meeting minutes which will enable the public to understand and appreciate City Council's discussion and such written meeting minutes shall serve as the official minutes of such workshop meeting.
