Resolution 25-47 - Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract for the procurement and professional services with Calix, Inc to upgrade the Velocity Fiber Distribution Equipment.

Purpose & Explanation

Staff would like to move forward with a $266,000 purchase agreement with Calix to secure 1000 units of customer equipment which will be used for the delivery of Velocity Broadband services. These units are the equipment (modem) that is installed at all customer locations. As part of this purchase agreement, staff will secure a slight $11,000 discount on the hardware and be able to request delivery as needed over the next 24 months. This purchase would fall under our existing master purchase agreement with Calix and is considered sole source.
