Purpose & Explanation
Mr. & Mrs. Damon Keller, 233 Aurora Street at the corner of Hudson Street, applied to the City for a grading permit for reconstruction of their landscaping in early 2023. The project will remove and replace trees, shrubs and other landscape features on the east side of their property to better screen their property from the adjacent intersection. The submitted plan, reviewed by Community Development, Engineering and the City Arborist, includes mostly work within private property. In addition, the property owners have requested to replace existing bushes that are already located within the public right-of-way, with four new arborvitaes as shown in the attached exhibit.
This resolution authorizes the City Manager to enter into a license agreement with Amanda and Damon Keller to allow them to plant four (4) arborvitaes along Hudson Street within the City's right-of-way.
