Purpose & Explanation

Following the previous discussion on 5/24/2022, an Ad Hoc Committee was formed to allow specific members of City Council to work closely with City Staff on this project. This group focused on preparing an RFP that contained all aspects of a residential fiber expansion project that best suited the City at this time.

Ad Hoc Committee Council Members: Skylar Sutton, Karen Heater, Chris Banweg

Ad Hoc Committee Staff: Thom Sheridan, Jeff Knoblauch, Paul Leedham, Will Ersing.

Staff would like to issue an RFP to gauge the interest of potential vendors to fund and build additional residential fiber options throughout the City.
