Purpose & Explanation

City staff has prepared the attached proposed Land Development Code text amendment in response to the City Council request to review regulations applicable to addressing changes in density which occur between proposed projects and adjacent existing neighborhoods.   

Planning Commission completed a public hearing on September 11, 2023 and recommended approval subject to consideration of three conditions discussed within the attached memorandum. 

In response to discussion at the October 10, 2023 workshop meeting, staff has prepare a revised amendment version for Councils consideration.

Staff recommends City Council review the proposed Planning Commission recommendation, the revised draft amendment and then proceed with the public hearing and third reading on December 5, 2023.
