Purpose & Explanation

The City Manager will discuss with City Council the Public Works Facility design, estimated costs, and options prior to moving forward with the final design of the Public Works Facility by the consultant.  The consultant will update Council on the proposed site plan, the floorplan of the building, rendering of the facility, and options for the design.

Following this discussion, the administration will have the consultant move forward with the final design.

Timing Considerations

The consultant design is to be completed the summer of 2025.  The bidding process will be completed a contract entered into with a contractor in early fall 2025.  Completion of the design and construction is scheduled for fall 2026.  The current lease on Georgetown Road ends on December 31, 2026.

City Council shall provide direction to the City Manager on the options for the Public Works Facility and the consultant will move to the final completion.
