Purpose & Explanation
According to the City of Hudson Employee Handbook and Personnel Rules Chapter III - Pay and Classification, (A) Position Classification and Compensation Plan; the City Manager shall be responsible for the continuous maintenance of the classification plan. Additionally, City Council shall adopt and may amend from time to time the classification plan and the associated compensation plan including titles, pay ranges, and steps.
At this time, changes are proposed to the City's classification plan with respect to the Hudson Fire Department. In summary, the proposed changes will permit the City Manager to create one (1) new job position and to reclassify certain existing full-time employees to positions that will ensure that proper levels of technical expertise are in place to perform mission-critical tasks. With the concurrence of the Hudson Fire Chief, the following changes are proposed:
