Purpose & Explanation
The Public Works Department has 2014 budgeted funds for the demolition of the house and garage structures located at 240 Ravenna Street. The property and associated structures are currently owned by the City of Hudson and have been used in the past for both EMS and Fire Department training, as well as City storage. The structures are no longer utilized and serve no public purpose.
The Summit County Land Bank offers up to $50,000 in grant funding to offset the demolition of the structures and property restoration costs. The Public Works Department has $60,000 currently budgeted for this project and wishes to apply for the grant funds. The Summit County Land Bank requires a City Council Resolution authorizing and permitting the submission of the grant application.
