Purpose & Explanation
The SR 91 South Safety Improvement Project design limits are on SR 91 (S. Main Street) from Barlow Road to the Stoney Hill Drive intersection. The project includes widening of the roadway for bike lanes and new center turn lane, new curbing, roadway repairs, storm sewer upgrades, and sidewalk on both sides of the road.
Due to the widening of the roadway and other improvements, temporary right-of-way acquisitions are required.
Since this project is being partially funded with federal funds the right of way acquisition must follow the federal/ODOT requirements for appraisals and acquisitions. The process includes a title search, property appraisal, and a peer review appraisal. All negotiations follow the federal/ODOT guidelines. For temporary right-of-way acquisitions, the City is paying for 10% of the acquisition fee and the state is paying for 90% of the acquisition fee.
See attached table for each temporary take and individual amount.
