Resolution No. 20-124, amended Res. 20-101 to reflect certain changes requested by Summit County Deputy Fiscal Officer; passed Nov. 4, 2020.
Resolution No. 20-152, submitting to the electors of the city the question of the renewal of an existing 2.9 mil tax levy for the purpose of supporting the free public library of the Hudson Library and Historical Society; passed Dec. 15, 2020
Ballot Issue #1, passed by electors on May 4, 2021.
Purpose & Explanation
The Library will present to City Council explaining the need to renew the existing operating levy and an increase in the levy. The Library does not have legal authority to place a levy on the ballot and has requested City Council do it on the Library's behalf.
There are two separate resolutions required to be passed by Council. The first is the resolution of necessity and requesting the County Fiscal Officer certify the estimated revenue from the levy; the second resolution (to follow at a later date) is to approve putting the levy on the ballot.
