At the March 24, 2015, Council workshop meeting, Mr. DeSaussure proposed updating the City's Codified Ordinances to reflect State statute regarding bicycles.
Purpose & Explanation
This Ordinance has been prepared at City Council's request. Mr. DeSaussure and staff have reviewed and compared Hudson's local Ordinances with the State Code. Certain provisions of Chapter 474 of the Traffic Code, which regulates the use of bicycles within the City, are inconsistent with the Ohio Revised Code, impose unnecessary penalties for certain violations of Chapter 474, or unnecessarily restrict the use of bicycles within the City of Hudson; and this Ordinance will amend Chapter 474 to eliminate said inconsistencies, penalties, and restrictions.
