Proclamation: Special Recognition of Sunshine Week
Brief Description: Acting Mayor Foster will proclaim the week of March 13-19, 2022 as “Sunshine Week” in Hudson, and acknowledges the importance of public access to government records and information in fostering transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement. Dr. Carol O’Connell, President of the League of Women Voters Hudson, will be in attendance to accept this Proclamation.

Purpose & Explanation
The City of Hudson diligently promotes open and transparent government by adhering to Ohio’s Public Records Law and Open Meetings Law. These two laws together comprise Ohio’s “Sunshine Laws.” For more information, refer to Ohio Sunshine Laws: An Open Government Resource Manual, available on the Ohio Attorney General’s website (see attached hyperlink).
