Purpose & Explanation
The City of Hudson received $25,298.70 from the Safety Intervention Grant. Hudson Emergency Medical Services is eligible to use this funding for the purchase of two stair chairs with a design that would facilitate moving patients both up and down stairs, thereby helping to alleviate strain caused by lifting. The total cost of chairs is estimated at approximately $31,000. Grant funding is based on a 3 to 1 match and the City of Hudson’s match would be approximately $8,000. Application was made on 3/16/2023. OBWC funds awarded on 6/9/2023. Purchase must be made within 90 days from date of award.
