A RESOLUTION AFFIRMING THE APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY THE CITY MANAGER’S DESIGNEE TO THE NORTHEAST OHIO FOUR COUNTY REGIONAL PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION (NEFCO) FOR A SUMMIT COUNTY BROWNFIELDS PROGRAM GRANT.
Executive Summary: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency provides funding for surveys and assessments of potential Brownfields through the Summit County Brownfields Program managed by The Northeast Ohio Four County Regional Planning and Development Organization (NEFCO) in partnership with The Development Finance Authority of Summit County and the Summit County Health Department. Staff wishes to apply for this grant for the Phase II environmental work on the Windstream properties within the Phase II Downtown Development Project.

Staff is requesting grant services through the Summit County Brownfields Program for Phase II screening investigation on the Windstream parcels that are within the Phase II Downtown Development area.

The application for funding is due June 6, 2016.
