A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND INSPECTION SERVICES WITH QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTION, INC.; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Executive Summary: The City of Hudson Engineering Department currently performs public inspections with our staff and the City also contracts with a private construction management service on the road programs. In addition to the road programs, the City may decide to utilize the construction management/inspection services on other miscellaneous capital improvement projects and for private developments as they arise within the City.

Purpose & Explanation
On November 1, 2013 the City of Hudson received proposals from the following firms along with their hourly rates for construction inspection services for the City of Hudson:

RFP's were also sent out to Arcadis and GPD Group, neither of these companies returned proposals.

Timing Considerations
With the approval of this Resolution, the City of Hudson would enter into and fully execute a contract with Quality Control Inspections, Inc. The new contract agreement will begin on January 1, 2014 and expire on December 31, 2014.
