Chapter 220, previously a codification of Ordinance No. 74-53 and Ordinance No. 77-9, was repealed in its entirety and re-enacted by Ordinance No. 95-19 in 1995. It was again repealed in its entirety and re-enacted by Ordinance 97-212 in 1998. Since then, Sections 220.03(c) and 220.031(d) have been amended twice by Ordinance No. 02-111 in 2002 and Ordinance No. 07-47 in 2007.
Purpose & Explanation
During the special workshop meeting of City Council, Strategic Planning Retreat, held on February 1, 2014, the legislative review process was discussed. The attached proposed amendments to Sections 220.03(c) and 220.031(d) incorporate agenda changes discussed and provide updates for current practices, as well.
Council President DeSaussure asked that Council also consider the structure of public hearings.

Proposed changes would be implemented in accordance with Council's wishes.
