Question the proposed flat roof in relation to the hip roof on the existing home. b) Section IV-4(h)(3) of the Architectural Design Standards states "additions should be designed to be compatible with the main structure by incorporating materials and a foundation to match." Staff notes a concrete foundation is proposed. Question how the proposed exposed foundation would be compatible with the main structure. Submit photos of the existing foundation to better assess this requirement. c) Question if the rear elevation accurately depicts the addition in relation to the second story windows. Staff notes the existing room intersects these windows and the rending on the title sheet depicts an overlap.
