Brief Description: The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency awards Recycling and Litter Prevention grant funding for the purpose of Outreach and Training. The City could receive $50,000 in grant funding to fund a Solid Waste Reduction, Diversion and Recycling Master Plan focused on education goals for 2022 and beyond. The City's match would not exceed $12,500.

Purpose & Explanation
The City of Hudson's Environmental Awareness Committee wishes to seek funding from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency through a Recycling and Litter Prevention Program Grant to fund outreach and training as part of the adoption of a Solid Waste Reduction, Diversion, and Recycling Master Plan focusing on education goals for a 2022 and beyond. Waste reduction is central to the plan, and outreach efforts will be undertaken to educate residents, schools and businesses on waste reduction and recycling. Funding will assist with marketing materials and community outreach. Approval of an appropriation of up to $12,500 is necessary for application. The application is due February 4, 2022.
