City of Hudson 2019-2023 Five-Year Plan Review and 2019 Budget

Executive Summary:   This is the first of three scheduled meetings to review the City’s 2019-2023 Five-Year Plan and 2019 budget.  This meeting will focus on Safety Forces, which includes Police, Fire and EMS.  We will also review Economic Development as a final review and recap of the General Fund.

Legislative History

On an annual basis, the City adopts a Five-Year Plan “in concept”.  The annual budget is adopted via the appropriations ordinance which is passed prior to year-end.

Purpose & Explanation

The purpose of the discussion is to review the City’s Five-Year Plan.  The first year of the Plan is the basis for the annual budget.

The key sections that will be discussed are:

1.                     General Fund follow up

2.                     Safety Forces: Police, Fire and EMS

3.                     Economic Development

Timing Considerations

This is the first of three scheduled Five-Year Plan workshops.
