Legislative History

None.

Purpose & Explanation

The current railway was constructed in 1851 and abandoned in 1996.  The current condition of this existing railroad infrastructure needs significant costly repairs in order to handle railroad freight in the future.  The regional connectivity of this multi-purpose trail project would connect Hudson to the City of Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Stow and the Village of Silver Lake along with other regional trail networks in central Summit County.
