Purpose & Explanation

The City of Hudson, in partnership with Hudson Community Foundation, provides an annual summer fireworks show to the community and entered into a three-year contract with American Fireworks for 2025, 2026, and 2027 in February 2025 at a rate of $26,750 annually. This amendment will increase the 2026 annual amount by $25,000 to honor the 250th anniversary.  The additional $25,000 will be paid by the City. Hudson Community Foundation reimburses 100% of the regular annual fireworks cost of $26,750.

Staff recommends City Council approve this amendment authorizing the City Manager to increase the annual fireworks amount by $25,000 to honor the 250th anniversary and declaring an emergency.
