Purpose & Explanation
The purpose of this request is to replace a non-functioning video switcher, thus allowing HCTV to continue producing multi-camera productions like Board of Education meetings, high school athletic contests, studio productions, concerts and meetings. The selected vendor has quoted the needed replacement equipment under the State Purchasing Contract Agreement. The total cost associated to this project is $42,022.94 (switcher & components $40,954.14; monitor components $1,068.80).
Timing Considerations
HCTV staff will purchase the equipment immediately following City Council’s approval. Delivery time is expected to take up to three weeks from order date.

Redirected Capital Project Note: The 2013 scheduled/approved capital project to replace the multi-channel digital audio/video recorder at an estimated cost of $20,000 will need to be pushed into 2014 due to the video switcher taking top priority.
