Representatives from Fairmont Properties will be in attendance to discuss the Heinen's Store and their conceptual plans for the Downtown Phase 2 properties. See attachment.
Statement submitted by Fairmont Properties:
Fairmont Properties very much looks forward to the opportunity to visit with City Council to present an updated vision for the Phase Two land. The plan we will share (attached for distribution) demonstrates that we've listened carefully to the comments voiced from both this public body, a cross-section of citizens and other key stakeholders as to what might be successful in Phase Two. This includes:
* A use which would help "anchor" this development;
* A better variety of for-sale residential product types;
* Product similar to the Villas of Hudson;
* A less dense plan;
* Additional green space.
Central to this vision is a new state-of-the-art 40,000 sq. ft. Heinen's Market, which will provide its current customer base with an absolute best-in-class grocery experience in terms of its product offering, store design and shopper comfort. The Heinen's team has been so appreciative of the support from this community and looks forward to providing a more updated version of its 2005 self, in conjunction with a broader development vision. It is important that "Heinen's is a part of a more comprehensive development vision similar to what they committed to in Phase One" according to Jeff Heinen. They are not at all interested in sitting down the street by themselves.
