Purpose & Explanation

The Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services is a division of the Ohio Department of Public Safety.  It administers state and federal funding to criminal justice agencies in Ohio.  Maximum grant awards are $20,000.

Timing Considerations

The grant application was due October 31, 2018.  The program period is March 1, 2019 through September 30, 2019.

Staff recommends that City Council affirm the City Manager’s Designee’s application for an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant for Law Enforcement through the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services on behalf of the Hudson Police Department for use by Metro SWAT.
