A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR COMPETITIVE BIDS AND TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR RAVENNA STREET SIDEWALK INSTALLATION PROJECT FROM S. HAYDEN PARKWAY TO STOW ROAD.

Brief Description:   The project includes the installation of a new sidewalk along Ravenna Street from S. Hayden Parkway to Stow Road.

Purpose & Explanation

This sidewalk project is being designed in-house and will include the installation of a 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk along Ravenna Street between S. Hayden Parkway and Stow Road. The sidewalk construction also includes storm drainage improvements, grading, crosswalks, lighting, electric conduits, driveways, and minor clearing and restoration.

 

The estimated total cost of construction is $1,100,000, which includes a 10% contingency. The City will return to City Council if the cost exceeds the above total cost of the project.

 

This project's bid is scheduled to be bid in the summer 2025.
