A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH O.C.I. CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR CONDUIT INSTALLATION FOR THE DARROW ROAD STREET LIGHTING PROJECT, PHASE II.
Executive Summary: With the Rt. 91 Phase I lighting project being completed in late fall of 2014 from Barlow Road to Georgetown Road, Staff is now prepared and seeks to award the conduit installation contract for the Phase II portion of the project (Georgetown Road to Norton Road).

Purpose & Explanation
In 2012 the Public Works Department retained the professional consulting services of Peters, Tschantz and Associates to evaluate the roadway lighting conditions on the southern stretch of Darrow Road from Norton Road north to Barlow Road.
In February of 2014 the Public Works Department advertised and received two (2) qualifying competitive bids for the installation of the electrical conduit system for Phase I. (Barlow Rd. to Georgetown Rd.). The contract was awarded and phase I of the project was completed in late summer of 2014.
In September of 2015 the Public Works Department advertised and received three (3) qualifying competitive bids for the installation of the electrical conduit system for Phase II (Georgetown Rd. to Norton Rd.). The bidding information is as follows:
1. O.C.I. Construction- $67,738.00
2. Perram Electric Inc- $69,809.00
3. Miller Cable Co. ----- $97,685.00.
(Engineers Estimate--- $137,893.50)
Hudson Public Power has utilized the services of O.C.I. Construction in past years with the most recent being the Broadband Conduit Installation.
