Purpose & Explanation
Staff is seeking funding from the Lehner Family Foundation through a grant to fund restoration and preservation work in the Old Hudson Township Burying Ground on Chapel Street. The cemetery is part of the Hudson Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. Many notable Hudsonites are buried in this cemetery, including David Hudson and the parents of John Brown. Preservation efforts will be made to limit further deterioration and damage to stones and monuments while repairing those that have already succumbed to effects of time.
