RES. NO. 21-155:  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, DURING THE YEAR OF 2022 TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS OR TO UTILIZE THE VARIOUS CHARTER-AUTHORIZED GOVERNMENTAL COMPETETIVE PURCHASING PROGRAMS AND ENTER INTO CONTRACTS FOR CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, SUPPLIES, SERVICES, EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLES.

Purpose & Explanation

The golf course budgeted $28,000 for a replacement aerifier machine  for the 2022 season. Toro equipment discontinued production of the intended aerifier and is not available. The new model is available now and the cost increase is $7,287.76. This piece of equipment needs replacement at this time.  The purchase will be made utilizing the Sourcewell government contract # 031121.

Timing Considerations

This equipment is need of ordering now to ensure pricing and delivery for the 2023 spring season, therefore staff requests emergency language be added to the legislation.
