Executive Summary: Sourcing Office has decided to cease business. In order for the COG to dissolve this as a matter of law, they are asking all members to withdraw from their membership.

Resolution No. 07-45 authorized the City Manager to enter into agreements for master services/consulting and membership.
Purpose & Explanation
On May 2, 2007 the City of Hudson became a member of Sourcing Office (fka Northeast Ohio Sourcing Office) a Council of Governments formed to bring buying power to the membership based upon the economies of scale.
Sourcing Office has decided to close down business. Due to the company being formed as a COG, which is a government entity, the process will be reviewed by the Ohio Auditor. In order for the COG to dissolve this as a matter of law, they are asking all members to withdraw from their membership.
Timing Considerations
This Resolution needs to be passed by May 1, 2015; otherwise, the City will be required to attend a final meeting on May 1, 2015 to ratify the Articles of Dissolution which have been approved by the Board of Directors.

Staff recommends that Council pass this Resolution terminating the membership with Sourcing office and nullifying Resolution No. 07-45 authorizing membership.
