Resolution 06-48 Permission to award Uniform & Floor Mat Contract
Purpose & Explanation
This contract provides and maintains work uniforms for the Service, Public Properties, Water Resources and Hudson Public Power (Electric/Fire Rated) Divisions. The contact term is for two (2) year with an option to renew for an additional two (2) years provided the service has been acceptable and the pricing remains reasonable.
The Public Works Department received two (2) competitive bids for this contract. The previous contract was held by the Cintas Corporation in the amount of $24,335.50
New Bid amounts for annual service:
1. Unifirst Corporation $20,715.10
2. Cintas Corporation $25,803.76
Unifirst Corporation's bid represent a 15% decrease in the current contract costs. The contract term will run through September 30, 2020.
