Executive Summary: This project will involve berm restoration, pavement planning, partial and full depth repairs, intermediate asphalt course, surface asphalt course and pavement striping and if approved, additional asphalt berm installation along Terex-Barlow Road from SR 91 to the Norfolk Southern Rail Road Tracks.

Purpose & Explanation
Bids were received on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 for the Barlow/Terex Road STP Resurfacing Project. Below is the Engineer’s Estimate along with the respective bids.

The City Administration is requesting City Council approval to authorize the City Manager to award and enter into a contract with Ronyak Paving, Inc. for the Barlow/Terex Road STP Resurfacing Project. This work will consist of berm restoration, pavement planning, partial and full depth repairs, intermediate asphalt course, surface asphalt course, and pavement striping along Terex-Barlow Road from SR 91 to the Norfolk Southern Rail Road Tracks. The Engineering Staff is requesting a 10% contingency for any unforeseen issues that may arise during construction in the total amount of $668,552.97.
Total Project cost =$668,552.97 ($607,775.43-base + $60,777.54-10% cont.) (Split 80% ODOT/20%-Local City Share)
