Purpose & Explanation

An automated CPR device is an important emergency rescue tool. Hudson EMS has three ambulances and only two CPR devices. University Hospitals Health System has graciously offered to donate a new LUCAS III device. This will allow all of Hudson EMS’s ambulances to be fully outfitted with these valuable pieces of medical equipment.

Timing Considerations

We request emergency language to allow for the delivery and acceptance of this donation at the City Council meeting on February 19, 2019. With acceptance of this donation, EMS will implement use of the Lucas Automated CPR Device immediately.
